Nahum Lopez

Nahum Lopez is a local radio enthusiast turned TV aficionado who was born in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. In the early 80's at the young age of three he migrated to the town of Port Arthur, TX with his grandmother Socorro Torres where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated with the class of 2000. As a student he took part in the high school's newspaper where he grew an interest in the Media & Journalism.
He received 2 Associate degrees (A.A.) from Tyler Junior College the first in radio & television broadcasting
and the second in journalism & mass communications, later he attended The University of North Texas
where he received his Bachelors of Applied Arts & Sciences (B.A.A.S.) with a specialty in Journalism.
Nahum has worked in the Radio & Marketing world for the last 15 years most recently as the Program Director of Caliente 103.1 & 104.7 in the East Texas area. Prior to that he served as the Multicultural Marketing Coordinator for the Brookshire Grocery company where he got to interact with multiple communities in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Prior to relocating back to Tyler he spent a few years in the Pacific Northwest from 2012 to 2015 working for Albertson's and Safeway on their broadcast and digital team.
Outside of radio and TV being his passion music naturally falls in line and goes hand in hand for him. He enjoys live music concerts, movies, and a nice outing into the woods he also loves the beach and spending as much time as possible with his 7 year-old little boy and his 3 year-old little girl.
